Ski Trails in Winter, Disc Golf in Summer – Jokivartisten Village Association (Pello)
Jokivartisten Kyläseura ry is a village association formed by six small rural communities along the Tornio River in the northernmost part of the municipality of Pello.
Cooperation with nearby villages is highly valued by the people of Jokivartisten Kyläseura. Due to its location, natural partners also include village and sports associations across the border in Sweden. A great example of this cross-border collaboration is the popular regional event Meän Hihto, a ski race that brings communities together.
In winter, the association maintains an impressive network of ski trails, and in summer, it offers an 18-hole disc golf course.
